Roland Waegner
Volunteer at The Cute Syndrome Foundation
Roland is a volunteer for The Cute Syndrome Foundation. His son Bruno had SCN8A epilepsy and fell victim to SUDEP in July 2017, at the age of not quite seven years. Roland is actively working towards connecting SCN8A families in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and beyond. Furthermore, he has assisted in compiling patient surveys on behalf of the Danish Epilepsy Center, Dianalund. Roland teaches English and Maths at a school for unaccompanied teenage refugees in Munich. He has a daughter and three cats.
